Overview
The Reynolda Manor Merchants Association is sponsoring its 2nd Reynolda Manor Summer Arts / Crafts Festival.  The Reynolda Manor Complex will feature many of Winston-Salem and the surrounding area’s finest artists. 

Mission
The Summer Arts Festival is a top quality street/sidewalk type event that brings the community artists and crafters together for a day of fun and exposure for visitors to view, purchase, and experience from the unique artists who created it.  The festival will be of the highest quality with a large variety of artwork. 

When
The Summer Arts Festival event will take place on Friday and saturdat June 13th and 14th, 2008.  During the event, live musical artists will perform.

 Eligible Media Categories  

The festival is open to individual artists selling original artwork and crafts in a variety of media. No dealers, agents, or representatives are permitted. No machine made or mass produced work is permitted. All factory produced items regardless of additional modifications or enhancements by the artists, are prohibited.

 Application Fee       (Non-refundable)

Each application must be submitted with a non-refundable check for ($25.00) made payable to the “Reynolda Manor Merchant’s Association”.  All fees will be deposited upon receipt.  A $15.00 fee will be charged for all Non-Sufficient Funds checks submitted.

Exhibitor Booth Fee  $25.00 (2 Day Charge)
Maximum 10’x10’ – Please contact the Curator for information on availability of larger booths.

Accepted artists must provide their own tents, racks and/or tables in order to display their work in an outdoor environment.  The festival takes place on concrete or asphalt surfaces.  No anchor holes in the pavement or ground will be allowed.  Electricity is not available in the display booth areas.

 Artist Statement  

If you would like to be included in printed advertisements, submit an artist statement of fifty words or less with the application.  The statement is an explanation of the art and the materials and process used for creating the artwork.  Statements are submitted to radio, TV, and newspapers for possible use in the advertising of the event.  Each artist will be captioned with his or her statements on the official Reynolda Manor Summer Art Show web site.

 Booth Rules  

No promotional items such as post cards, note cards, photocopies, etc. are permitted to be displayed or sold at the festival.  Business cards may be displayed and distributed within your assigned area.

The artists must be present during the entire festival and must professionally staff his/her booth space.  An a gents, dealer, or representative may attend the festival in place of the artist however prior approval from the festival Curator is required in advance.
